The Performers Academy, a 501c3 Arts Education Organization(tax ID number 46-1283382), is celebrating our 13th year of serving at risk youth. TPA uses the arts as healing for tweens and teens during the summer, after school and on weekends. TPA provides a safe mental health space, offers free or reduced rates for studio space to benefit the underserved populations and creates special tailored programs for those who may never experience the passion of the performing arts.

OVER THE PAST 12 YEARS WE HAVE:

  • Served more than 200 teens who reside in licensed or kinship care, are incarcerated, on probation, or attend a court-ordered drug rehabilitation program.

  • Revitalized our 10,000 square foot campus with classrooms for dance, theatre, fashion design, music production and public performance.

  • Documented that 90% of our students are more open with their feelings, are more positive about their future, and are more trusting of the adults in their lives because of our programs.

  • Employed more than 20 local artists annually for 10 years.

  • Assisted and enabled our students to headline at legendary venues such as The Ritz Theatre & Museum and The Florida Theatre.

We appreciate your help in supporting the arts for teens in our community!
