The Opportunity Project Cohort 6
The Opportunity Project is a 3-week work-readiness program that will support young people across Duval County in understanding and maximizing their opportunities after school and help them to see and achieve their potential after High School.
Working in Partnership with The Performers Academy and Family Support Services, the program will give young people aged 17-23 a range of life and technical skills which will increase their aspirations, help them better understand employment opportunities and the benefits of completing high school as well as build their resilience and self-confidence.

The Arts Bazaar Fundraiser
Envision entering into a world of the unique and bizarre. You come dressed expressing your individuality, greeted upon your arrival with a beverage with cotton candy and dry ice. You interact vendors all showcasing unique art- expressing their passion and purpose. You smile and start to move your hips as you are enveloped with music and strangely expressive dancers. You walk into the garden and see a peacock- almost entering a mystical land where you can relax and listen to unique funky base and have intimate conversations- Alison and wonderland feel. You grab some unique eats from the vendors and bring yourself into the black box to dine under a tent while watching special entertainment from past students from poems, singing, dancing. So many balloons, draped fabric, pillows, chairs, COLOR.

All classes are led by Teaching Artists who are professionals in their field. LIMITED TO 30 STUDENTS, divided into classes with a maximum of 6 students at any one time. Students can choose between Singing/songwriting, visual arts, theater, recording arts, dance and fashion design.
